A bit about us

Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation aims to end the trafficking of Vietnamese people. We rescue children from the dangers of the streets. Once people are safe, we provide counselling, accommodation, health care, and long term educational and vocational support for them to heal, rebuild their lives and thrive. Currently, Blue Dragon works in Hanoi, Dien Bien, Hue and Ha Giang. In 2024, we will be commencing new anti-trafficking programs in Nghe An and HCMC.

Human trafficking is the trade in human beings for the purpose of exploitation. In Vietnam, this human rights violation can affect anyone but ethnic minority people and children are most affected due to extreme poverty, lack of social services and the need to migrate for work. Ethnic minority people are three times more vulnerable than Kinh ethnicity, despite only making up 15% of the population.

Trafficking prevention through livelihood improvement

How we'll spend the money you raise

The funds you raise will contribute to achieving Blue Dragon’s vision of ending human trafficking.

To date we have rescued 2,653 trafficking victims from six countries and provided them with long term support and help to improve their living conditions.

We will use funds to rescue even more people from human trafficking and provide long-term support for them to recover.

We will also use funds to educate vulnerable children in secondary and high schools about human trafficking, child labour and child marriage, and support them to develop the career and life skills they need to avoid exploitation.
